We are thrilled that you are interested in joining us as a character performer. To help keep all of our characters looking consistent and true to their roles, we have a few appearance guidelines we would like to share:
Tattoos:
Ideally, tattoos will be covered by the costume. Any tattoos above the neckline or on hands will need to be concealed with tattoo-cover makeup or costume additions, such as gloves and scarves, which would need to be worn at all times when in character. Please note that for certain elf character roles, visible tattoos in these areas could affect suitability.
Piercings:
Small stud earrings are absolutely fine. For any additional piercings, we may ask that you switch to clear studs/retainers while in costume to maintain the character look.
Nails:
We prefer clean, tidy, natural nails. If you enjoy wearing polish, a nude shade is best, but please ensure polish is well-maintained should you choose to wear it. There are no options locally for repairs/renewals for false nails, should they grow out or become damaged; we kindly ask that you avoid them during your time with us.
Eyelashes:
For continuity across all characters, we prefer performers not to wear eyelash extensions. Again, there are no options locally for infills and maintenance. Please avoid them during your time with us.
Facial hair:
Some character roles typically require the use of postiche (such as beards and moustaches), which is relevant for Noisy Nod and Santa. If you are hoping to keep your natural facial hair for these roles, please keep in mind that there are minimum expectations for length, thickness, colour, grooming and styles. If these minimums aren't met, we will require facial hair to be removed so that the appropriate wigs or postiche can be applied to maintain character continuity.
Wigs and hair preparation:
Some roles require wigs or hair pieces (Santa, Mrs Claus, Snowy Bowy and Wendy Wood), and you will be wearing these for extended periods. Your natural hair will need to be secured beneath the pieces. To help protect the wigs and retain their quality, we ask anyone in these roles to avoid freshly dyed, vivid hair colours to prevent colour transfer to the pieces.
We appreciate your understanding. These small details make a big difference in bringing the characters to life equally across all resorts. We look forward to seeing your energy and personality shine through your application video.
