PROJECT DESCRIPTION
“PASI – Passing the World Along The Esplanade” is a large-scale community photo exhibition presented by Jamii celebrating FIFA 2026 and Toronto’s theme of “the World in a City” linking two of Toronto’s most iconic destinations: the Distillery District and St. Lawrence Market. The project features portraits featuring a minimum of 48 community members of all ages, each with roots in one of the 48 countries participating in the FIFA World Cup. Participants will symbolically “pass” a soccer ball from one image to the next, creating a visual chain that connects cultures, generations, and identities through the shared global passion for the game.
The exhibition will be publicly displayed along The Esplanade from May 9 to July 25, 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed), and may be accompanied by public activations and cultural celebrations.
I understand that my image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image.
I hereby authorize Jamii to publish photographic recordings on the following platforms:
Jamii’s website (www.jamii.ca)
Project partner’s website (if any)
Jamii’s e-news
Jamii’s social media (Facebook and Instagram among others)
Public and outdoor exhibitions along The Esplanade (Toronto)
And other online/internet platforms;
Media and news coverage.
By signing this release, I understand this permission signifies that photographic recordings of me may be publicly displayed via the Internet and in outdoor public spaces.
The usage of such photograph(s) shall be non-commercial, non-monetary. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. This consent is not revocable. This consent shall not allow any further publication or use of such photograph(s) by any other party, or in any other location or format, outside the context of the PASI project or Jamii communications, without my advance written authorization.
By signing this release, I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against Jamii Esplanade or any person or organization utilizing this material for any above-mentioned purposes.
