Safe play
Our tournaments are run in accordance with US Chess Safe Play policies. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and should be reported to the tournament director.
Refunds
A player can receive a refund -$5 if they cancel up to one hour before the tournament start time. Players who no-show do not receive a refund.
No shows = not cool
It's very important that we know who's coming and who isn't. A no-show means somebody gets paired with an opponent who's not coming. If something comes up, please let us know before 12:45 on tournament day so we'll know not to pair you.
Running late?
No worries. Just call/text (405) 642-6136 before 12:45 to confirm that you're on your way.
Players who are not checked in, either in person or over the phone, by 12:45 will be given a first-round bye.
Equipment
Sets, clocks, scoresheets, and pencils are provided at all Oklahoma City Chess Club tournaments. For events held in the café, bring your own equipment if you can.
US Chess membership
A current US Chess membership is required for all rated tournaments. New US Chess members may purchase their membership through us and pay no entry fee for their first tournament if they do so by that tournament's early entry deadline.
About the venue
The chess club is located above Kamp's 1910 Café. Since this tournament is on a Sunday, when the café is closed, it's OK to bring snacks/drinks into the building.
Accessibility
If you require special accommodations due to a disability, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to ensure you have a great tournament experience.
Capacity
Limited to 60 players.
