MEMBER ARTIST EXHIBIT AND SALE AGREEMENT

EXHIBIT FACILITY: The Hub at Fate Station, Downtown Fate, Rockwall TX

Important: All artists are required to sign this Member Exhibit and Sale Agreement prior to installation date.

Exhibit Guidelines

****All artists are required to sign this Member Exhibit and Sale Agreement prior installation date. If not received by deadline, another artist may be invited to show in their place. 

1. An Exhibit is an opportunity for members of Rockwall Art League (RAL) to show and sell their art in a public place.  

2. Only current-year members can participate in this exhibit.

3. Artists should have insurance or accept the risk for their artwork when participating in exhibits. RAL, the venue nor City of Fate do not take responsibility for artists’ property. 

4. This Member Artist Exhibit is coordinated by the Exhibit Manager or a designated RAL Board member.

5. Each exhibiting artist will be able to submit:

   1. Up to three pieces (space is very limited)

   2. Framed or painted (finished) edges

   3. No art smaller than 12x12.

   4. Please submit only lightweight pieces (under 15lbs) that can be hung with command strips (see note below). Ensure that the frame or hanging hardware will not interfere with the strip. RAL reserves the right to remove hanging hardware, if needed. If the piece cannot hang by the preferred manner, it will be returned to the artist.

   5. Artwork must be clearly labeled on the back or base with artist name, contact information and title/price of artwork.

   6. Artist exhibitors are required to hang their art for a duration of approximately 90 days or until artwork is sold.

   7. Pieces having a Texas, western, country or train theme are encouraged but not required.

6. All art must be for sale and priced by the artist. The artist is responsible for submitting a high quality jpeg or png image to use on the RAL website.

   1. Include artist name, title, price and medium used.

   2. Image must be a jpeg or png file

   3. Max file size 25MB

   4. Send to marketing@rockwallartleague.org

7. No entry fee. A 20% RAL commission will be deducted on each piece sold and a check will be sent to the artist for the remainder. Artists should adjust prices accordingly.  Artists will receive payment within 10 days of purchase.

8. The Publicity/Social Media/Website Committee will coordinate publicity using RAL’s Social Media and Website, as well as, other publicity resources. Artists are encouraged to promote the event on their own channels.

9. All artwork is pending acceptance by the Hub at Fate Station - not all artwork submitted may be accepted. Art should be tasteful and appropriate for all audiences, and consistent with the professional atmosphere at the Hub at Fate Station. Please do not submit art that is of a particular religious or political theme.

Note: 2D art will be hung with command strips and not wires (we will plan on four strips per artwork, please choose only lighter weight frames and canvases for this event). It is best if you remove D rings or hanging wires from artwork.

WHAT: Art Exhibit at the Hub at Fate Station.

WHEN: Deadline June 15 for art submissions. Art deliveries June 22 and 23. Art will not be accepted after June 23

WHERE: 110 Greenhill Ln 3rd Floor, Fate, Texas

PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE. Subject to change. 

• May 29 - June 15 - submissions are accepted to RAL

• June 19 - artists notified of acceptance of artwork

• June 22 and 23 (additional dates maybe added) - Delivery and hanging of art, 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm (or by appt)

• June 25 Kickoff reception in conjunction with the Go Blue wall debut and opening day of art sales on RAL website

• August 30 Artists may request unsold art
