Pet Grooming Terms & Waiver

By booking a grooming appointment, you understand and agree to the following:

1. Health & Safety of Pets

• You confirm that your pet is in good general health and is up to date on vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian.

• You agree to inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioural issues (e.g., biting, anxiety, senior pet, seizures) before the appointment.

• If your pet shows signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, open wounds, fleas, etc.), we may refuse or stop service for the safety of your pet and others.

2. Fleas, Ticks & Parasites

• If we find fleas or ticks on your pet, we may need to provide a flea/tick bath or stop the service.

• Additional cleaning or treatment fees may apply.

• You understand that we are not responsible for any existing flea, tick, or parasite issues.

3. Behaviour & Handling

• Some pets may be nervous, stressed, or reactive during grooming. We always aim to handle pets gently and safely.

• If your pet becomes aggressive, extremely stressed, or unsafe to groom, we may use safety equipment (such as muzzles or straps) or stop the service.

• You understand that if your pet bites, attempts to bite, or causes injury, you are responsible for any related costs or damage.

4. Senior Pets & Pets with Health Conditions

• Older pets and pets with health issues may be at higher risk during grooming (e.g., stress, fatigue, breathing issues, joint pain).

• Grooming is done at the pet owner’s risk. We will do our best to keep your pet comfortable, but you understand that we cannot guarantee how your pet will react.

• In case your pet becomes too stressed or unwell, we may stop the grooming for their safety.

5. Minor Nicks, Irritation & Style Changes

• We aim for a safe and professional groom, but sometimes minor nicks, clipper irritation, or redness can occur, especially with matted coats or sensitive skin.

• Haircuts may look slightly different depending on coat condition, behaviour, and previous grooming.

• You understand that results cannot be guaranteed to match a photo exactly.

6. Mats & Shaving

• Severely matted fur can be painful and dangerous to remove. Mats can hide skin issues, sores, or parasites.

• If your pet is matted, you understand that we may need to shave short for their comfort and safety.

• You accept that shaving may reveal pre-existing skin problems and that we are not responsible for these conditions.

7. Emergencies & Vet Care

• In the rare case of an emergency, we will try to contact you immediately.

• If we cannot reach you and we believe your pet needs urgent care, you authorize us to seek veterinary treatment at your expense.

• We are not responsible for any health conditions that were existing or not visible at the time of grooming.

8. Before Your Appointment

• Please make sure your pet has had a chance to use the bathroom before arrival.

• Do not feed a large meal right before the appointment to help prevent nausea.

• Arrive on time. Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled, and a fee may apply depending on our policy.

9. After Your Appointment

• Check your pet at home for any irritation, redness, or behaviour changes.

• Slight tiredness after grooming can be normal. If you notice anything severe or unusual, contact your vet.

• Keep your pet calm and avoid rough play or long walks immediately after grooming, especially for senior pets.

10. Cancellations & No-Shows

• Please give at least 24–48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

• Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a fee according to our policy.

11. Photos & Social Media (Optional)

• We sometimes take photos of pets after grooming for our portfolio or social media.

• You can choose to allow or not allow photos of your pet to be used.
