🐱💕The House Cat Lounge Rules💕🐱
Welcome to our cat lounge!
Remember: Every cat has their own personality! Let them set the pace and enjoy your visit!
1. 😴 Let cats come to you
You are a guest in their home, absolutely no picking-up, chasing, or cornering. Let sleeping cats sleep, a gentle pet is okay while they're resting if it seems welcome. If a cat wants your attention, you'll know!
2. 🐕 No outside animals
Trained service animals are welcome in the cafe but not in the cat lounge to protect everyone's health and safety. We're keeping their space stress-free!
3. 👶 Kids must stay with adults Children 12 and under must be actively supervised by an adult inside the cat lounge at all times. Children who are not walking steadily must remain in a carrier, in an adult’s arms, or secured in a highchair. Young children (6 and under) must stay within arm’s reach of their supervising adult at all times Children of all ages are expected to follow all lounge rules. If rules are not followed, staff may end the visit early. No refunds.
4. 🤫 Keep voices low and energy calm
Cats don't love yelling, running, or chaos. Watch your step and chair legs - tails appear where you least expect! Use toys gently with respect for personal space.
5. 🍽️ Food and covered drinks allowed
You're welcome to bring cafe treats but don't share with the cats (no matter how convincing they are!). No outside food or drinks permitted.
6. 🧼 Wash or sanitize hands
Clean hands before entering keeps everyone healthier. It's a good idea to sanitize after too!
7. 📸 Pictures welcome, no flash
They're gorgeous and they know it - just don't blind them with flash!
8. 😾 Scratches happen
If a cat swipes, it's communication, not personal. Watch for flattened ears, twitching tails, or walking away - signs they need space. Let us know if you get scratched.
9. 🧹 Clean up after yourself
This includes trash, personal items, cafe dishes, and anything you brought in. Put moved items (games, toys, etc.) back where you found them.
10. 🎡 Cat wheel is for cats only
Please encourage the cats to play on it with a toy. Do not touch the wheel while a cat is on it. Children are not allowed to sit or play on the wheel - it is designed to support the weight and power of a cat not a human.
