Important Information
Thank you for your participation and hard work on this very successful event. Clay provided by Interfaith Community Services and Marjon's Ceramics.
Requirements and Guidelines
Bowls must be studio quality. Please keep your obvious seconds, cracked or sharp pieces.
Bowls need to hold liquid.
Bowls must be glazed with only food safe glazes. Please identify handwash only.
Please sand bottoms before boxing up.
Please provide one bowl for each pound of donated clay from Marjon's. Clay is available in November. All bowl makers/Studios please fill out a pledge form. If you are using your own clay, bowls can be any weight. (You can also supplement your donated clay with your own. That way you can make any size as long as we get one bowl per pound of clay donated to you)
Bowls need to be finished and ready for pick up on or before February 18th. Include artist and/or studio information you would like to share at the event.
Delivery Instructions
Use empty clay boxes to transport bowls.
Label boxes with the number of bowls in each box and the donating studio or artist.
Storage space is available for finished bowls and artwork donations when they are ready.
Attach your business card to each bowl. Patrons to the event like to know their maker!
Contact Information
Email Linda DeBoer at ldeboer@att.net or call, text or email Mary Swallow (520-271-0443 or maryswallow@yahoo.com) to arrange for pick up.
Please provide the name of all bowl makers to Mary. Also take photos along your bowl making journey and share with Mary so ICS can use them to promote the makers and the event.
Artwork Donations
One of a kind pieces valued over $100 do well in the auction. Raffle donations of sets also do very well. Nearly all donated "special" bowls end up on the tables not in auction or raffle as they do not raffle/auction well because people are getting a bowl with their admission.
IF YOU ARE PROVIDING ART DONATIONS FOR THE AUCTION PLEASE SEND A PHOTO OF THE WORK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, ICS WOULD LIKE TO PROMOTE YOU AND YOUR WORK ONLINE PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
We do try to get the clay you like to work with but remember this is donated clay, therefore we get what is available.
